Our goal is to build a community that celebrates botanical skincare while supporting local Zanzibaris in every aspect of our business, from the plantations to the packaging. We take personal responsibility for every step of the process and are proud to operate with a small carbon footprint.
At Zuri, we understand that sustainability is crucial for both the environment and our customers. That's why we partner with local community co-operatives to benefit disadvantaged farmers in Zanzibar's rural areas. Our bath salts and soaks are made from salt farms along the eastern coast of Pemba Island, grown in small agricultural plots by local farmers. We also source our organic honey from Pemba.

We source our seaweed powder is produced by local women's cooperatives on the East Coast of Zanzibar, who hand-grow and harvest the seaweed. We actively collaborate with these communities to procure our seaweed powder. Observing these women at work during low tide is a must-see attraction for visitors to Zanzibar.
